Options Employment (Good Samaritan Industries)

Baptistcare and the Good Samaritan Industries (GSI) have partnered to increase the participation of people with disabilities in the workforce through Options Employment.

Baptistcare commits to providing people with disabilities with 11 jobs, 11 traineeships, 15 mentoring and 15 work experience placements across its sites and services.

GSI commits to providing ten cultural and disability awareness training sessions and ongoing support.

Emerging Young Leaders Program

Baptistcare has partnered with Southcare Inc and MercyCare in developing the Emerging Leaders Program to Engaging Young Leaders on Aged Care and Community Boards.

The program aims to boost the participation of young people in leadership on the boards of aged care and community service organisations. The program gives 20 young professionals exposure to board executives while providing training to prepare them for future board positions.

Three of Baptistcare team members were chosen to participate in the 2015 program.
