Our Executive Team

Russell Bricknell
Russell BricknellChief Executive Officer

Russell has an extensive background in the aged care and community services sector, holds degrees in education, science and a masters in business administration, is a Graduate and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

He was previously the Chief Executive of Aged Care Channel, overseeing operations in Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand. Prior to this role, Russell was Chief Operating Officer of Australian Home Care, a leading provider of home based care to people with disabilities in NSW and Victoria, General Manager of BaptistCare NSW and ACT, and Executive Director of Churches of Christ Care in Queensland.

Russell has a passion for delivering high quality care that positively impacts the lives of residents, customers and their families. He is honoured and excited to have been selected to lead Baptistcare and together, with the team, looks forward to making a real difference in the lives of people we care for and support.

Russell lived in Perth as a child, was educated in Queensland and will relocate from Sydney with his wife, Kerryn. One of his adult children will move to Perth whilst the other will remain in Sydney to pursue her tertiary studies. His parents were Baptist missionaries. Russell has attended many Baptist churches (including Yokine and Lesmurdie as a child) and has recently been attending Hillsong Church in NSW.

Graydn Spinks
Graydn SpinksExecutive General Manager Aged Care Services
Graydn has an extensive background working in aged and community services in the not-for-profit and local government sectors across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote settings. He joins Baptistcare after nearly 10 years at Southern Cross Care where he held a number of senior executive roles, including General Manager Services.

Graydn has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a post graduate diploma in Business, Business Administration and Management. Graydn also completed the Leadership Excellence through Application and Practice (LEAP) program.

Graydn is responsible for the Aged Care Services division, which provides support to over 900 residents in Baptistcare residential care facilities and over 1,000 employees.

Deb Patterson
Deb PattersonExecutive General Manager At Home Services
Deb’s experience in the West Australian aged care and disability sector spans more than 20 years. Throughout her career, she has worked with a number of large aged care and community services providers in Western Australia to deliver quality services to a broad spectrum of people in a variety of innovative ways. She brings a wealth of hands-on experience, passion for caring for people, and interest in ageing and mental health.

Deb holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from Edith Cowan University and has completed training in caring for people living with Alzheimer’s, cultural diversity, and communication and counselling.

Providing strategic direction for At Home Services and Disability Services, Deb manages, leads, and develops these service streams to support Baptistcare customers.

John Frame
John FrameChief Finance Officer
Responsible for Finance, Treasury, Capital Works and Maintenance, Procurement and Retirement Villages, John joined Baptistcare in September 2015 having previously been a Finance Executive in the aged care industry since 2005.

After graduating from Rhodes University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree, John spent several years in the Rhodesian Air Force. He then trained with Price Waterhouse as a chartered accountant.

He is an experienced senior executive, having held executive and board director roles in public and private companies across the aged care, finance, funds management, venture/seed capital, Information Technology and Biotech industries.

He is currently also a director of a Private Equity company, The West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra and is a published author.

Amanda Vivian
Amanda VivianChief Support Services
Amanda brings significant expertise and strong commitment to Baptistcare’s Vision of transforming and enriching lives in our communities.

With a degree in Financial Services, she is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a fellow of Leadership WA. Previously the Chief Operating Officer at Bankwest, she has a wealth of experience working with senior executive teams on a number of critical activities including developing a risk and values based culture, running the HR function and supporting the organisation on their people agenda.

Amanda heads the HR, Payroll, Governance and Risk, PR and Marketing, and Strategic Planning functions at Baptistcare, providing strong focus and leadership in these areas.
